The Kadant DMS 3010 Moisture Sensor effectively measures slurry height entering several critical areas of the paper machine:

The Moisture Sensor System includes of a measurement head, remote control/interface panel, an mounting bracket.
The sensor is enclosed in stainless steel housing:
- On one end is a ceramic wear surface mounted in contact with the forming fabric
- The opposite end provides a waterproof electrical connection to the interface/control chassis
- The sensor head operates at low voltages
The control panel allows easy operator set-up of the gauge and display of the process measurement. It also provides the necessary signal interface (4/20 mA) for valve controllers or mill control or data logging systems.

The five basic functions of the control console include:
- Operating display monitor
- Setup
- Operation
- Calibration
- Alarm reset
Each of these basic operating functions are associated with a specific function key on the control panel. When depressed, information relating to the associated operation will be displayed for review and modification of the operational parameters.
