Felt cleaning assembly sizing is done on a proprietary computer program developed by us and based on the DeCrosta equations. In fact, machine builders, vacuum pump suppliers and engineering firms rely on Kadant AES for accurate, optimum sizing and operational recommendations.
Design
The pipe design assembly has been a Kadant AES standard for many years. It has demonstrated the best combination of weight and structural integrity to resist both deflection and vibration. The assemblies are designed to withstand a maximum vacuum of 20" mercury and are available in either 304L or 316L grade stainless steel.
All assemblies are available in pipe diameters ranging from 6" to 18". Even larger cross-sections are available for special high-flow/high-vacuum applications.
Each pipe assembly is supplied with a tending side cleanout port - a 3" pipe nipple and cap. The outlet size is full pipe diameter and is supplied with a loose stainless steel flange connection. Other options such as plain ends or victaulic groove are available.
