DNT™ Pulp Washing Thickener

 

The DNT pulp washer thickener is a high-speed double nip thickening machine, using a synthetic wire for the most efficient removal of small ink particles, fillers, and other contaminants smaller than 100 mm. The design is simple, compact, and offers high capacity with thorough washing.

 

Working Principle

Pulp is injected between the first nip and the wire to create high stock feed capacity. The stock is deposited on the wire and dewatered around the breast roll, traveling to the couch roll were it is dewatered a second time to produce highly-washed and thickened stock up to 15 % consistency.

  • For all applications, one stage thickening of stock
  • Ash removal for applications requiring a limited ash content
  • Micronised and soluble (e.g., flexographic) ink removal
  • Separation of fillers and fine elements for long fiber fraction in brown grade applications
